My second try at getting Lydia's face right. Anyone who plays Skyrim is welcomed to tell me their opinion.
I guess there comes a point in the slider moving when I lose my objectivity or something, and I can't tell if I'm getting closer or further away.

(Elle? Did I get the lighting right???

Weird cut-off line on her neck and hair, though...
Her jawline is what's killing me, because you can't see it in any of the screen caps and there's no way to remove her hair.
As for that line---I was so tired this morning, I didn't notice it. That's the blend line between the face skin texture and the neck/torso skin texture. It's possible the original artist didn't do a perfect job of blending them. I've noticed that happens now and then. I'll PSP the next one if it happens again. It could also be Reality/Lux screwing with me, too.
I need to dig around for a darker complexion, too, so this is far from being over and done with.
LOL... we had a good day today. We killed three dragons, and finally beat one of the hardest quests...
I could tell she was getting tired. She was yawning a lot... Seriously. That can be very annoying when you're just about to attack.
We also did something we'd never done before. We took on an enemy fort, and because of the way we approached it, we were up in the rocks about 200 feet above... we sat up there and plinked away with our bows. But sometimes I wonder about the software, because one guy had about 14 arrows in him, including two all the way through his head, and he was still alive when we got to the fort to clean out the people inside the towers. Lydia got killed once because I switched weapons... I decided that war hammers aren't for me. They're just too heavy to swing fast. So I went back to my enchanted elven axe. I can do a very good job of chopping up bad guys from their heads to their toes. I've got the timing down for a charge and swing. There's really no way to block that kind of blow, so it normally kills the bad guy on the first swing. LOL... The AI likes to do the 3rd person, slow motion of those kills, where the ax goes in by the neck and buries itself to mid chest, or when I come at an angle and chop the chap's head off.
Anyway, we whittled away at some of the little chores that were sitting in queue to be done.
they actually yawn in Skyrim? Wow, Bethesda goes all out to make a good game.
She will almost always comment when things are about to get hairy: "I have a bad feeling about this." Chuckle.
There are a couple of people who are really getting on my nerves in White Run...
We continued whittling away at stuff we couldn't finish earlier in the game because I kept getting killed. LOL... It's not as easy to kill a level 39 warrior as it is to kill a level 5 or 6 warrior.
I'm working on my archery. We cleared an entire den of vampires with nothing but our bows today. And I did one of the quests that's really hard because you're set up to lose. I got killed twice, and then realized I needed to fill my belly up with magic potions to beef up health, strength, fire, lightning, magic, etc. And then when the scene started I didn't wait. I just charged the bad guy and ran right past two of his familiars before they realized I was even there. The last guy in my way was susceptible to fire, and my current war ax has a fire enchantment, so he just died on the first swing. Then I had to fight the bad guy up close, and I just didn't give him a chance to conjure any more bad guys. I had to stop (which is nice... you can stop the action and guzzle down health potions, etc.) once, which left me fully healthy again, and he was less than half... and while I was getting the health potions, I added a super poison to the axe blade, so I managed to kill him.
Chuckle. Now I have this weird soul weapon that I'm not sure I want to re-energize. So it's going into the storage chest with the rest of the junk. (Most of it is stuff that's worth more than I can sell it for. The ancient elven glass armor and weapons are worth a lot of money. Too bad they're not as powerful as my plain old steel armor. They're certainly lighter... but my character is supposed to wear heavy armor--and he needs it. (A lot!) I finally learned the basics of enchanting my own stuff, so now maybe I can just look for a good enchantment, steal it from the weapon it's in, and put it into my glass axe.
LOL... I'm going to have to get back on the main quest track again. I have a hunch I'm going to start seeing more of two political factions fighting around me. And if this is like Morrow Wind, then I have to try and unite everyone in order to overcome the dragons. So far, I've avoided getting caught up in the political war, but that can't go on. I'm gonna have to choose soon. I'm also going to have to deal with the high elves, one faction of which is already trying to have me killed.
there's probably a few weapons in my house in Megaton that I've only used once or not at all (like the sawn off shotgun. It's pretty bad, and I only have it because I looted a raider when I was a low level. haven't fired it once).
